Serverbased information
Joined date:
6 months before the 1.13 update dropped. Rejoined 2nd of august this season.

Have you had any past punishments?: nope

Do you have any prior experience as a staff member?
Sort of. A friend of mine hosted a server where I had "special" rank. I wasn't officially a staff member but I was an operator. I was allowed to use coreprotect, mute and kick (+ general support)

If applicable, why did you leave the prior position?

Lastly, do you have any friends as staff? If so list their names.:
Not in real life, but GrigglePuff, Only1, Minions and BilZander are friends on the server.

Scenarios
If a player joins and starts to spam "This server is trash, join my server (IP)." How would you react as a helper?

It would depend on how bad the spam is. If somebody is trash talking about the server and trying to convince everybody to join theirs, I would remind them of the rules and request them to stop. If they keep going I would start with giving them a verbal warning, followed by an actual warning and a temporary mute if needed.
If somebody is literately spamming the same message over and over I would request them to stop and quickly move over to a temporary mute.
I would try to avoid and sus out and fights if others start to respond and always avoid getting into an argument.

If a player starts to create drama with another town or nation and starts to involve everyone in main chat, how would you deal with the situation?
I would see if I could help personally either via /msg or local chat to spare the others of this drama or offer them for me to contact a higher tiered staff member (if needed). If the person keeps on going I would request them to keep it down, force tp to them (if possible) to try and get them to local chat anyways (simply by starting to talk in local chat) and otherwise follow the same procedure as described above.

If a player trashes a staff member in main chat, how would you react as a helper?
I would request the player to calm down regardless of what happened and ask where this came from (did anything go wrong, did he/she get insulted in any way or is it just a tantrum for example), ask for a short explanation in staff chat to get both sides. I would proceed to give a third-party opinion about the situation and discuss any potential solutions to the problem. If it gets out of hand and the staff member him/herself has not done so already, I would give a warning to the player and ask the staff member to rethink the situation (if it is not clear that the staff member is completely right).
If somebody starts to trash talk me I would try to stay calm, request the player to calmly explain what is wrong or what I did wrong and see if I could have done anything about the situation to prevent this and know if I was in the wrong in any way.

Suddenly, the server crashes and it comes online with no player data saved. How would you go about reporting this?
I would try and explain what the procedure is in these situations and that I have contacted one of the owners about it. While potentially discussing the situation with either the owners or (sr.) admins, I will keep the players up to date with the situation in both Discord and the server chat and try to keep everybody calm, prevent spamming, etc. I would continue this until the main chaos is over (still giving progress updates) or the situation is fixed.

A player griefs a town and it is reported to you, how would you deal with this situation?
Depends on the situation and what a helper is able to do command-wise when it comes to CoreProtect. As far as I know, helpers can't rollback via CoreProtect. The answer is based on that knowledge.
If it's a minor grief I would see who grieved it, give them a warning and help the player rebuild/repair the damage that was done (replacing blocks, fixing water area's, etc.).
If the grief involves containers (chests, etc.), items or is simply too big to fix by hand, I would contact a mod and check who did it in the meantime. If there is not a single mod or higher available, it's kinda tough luck. I would inform the player that the damage is too big for me to fix (because of lack of CP) and that he/she will have to wait until a moderator comes online. I will still poke mods to come online.

Final Questions
What do you feel makes you qualified to become a helper?

I'm quite active on the server and always up to helping anyone. I'm able to stay neutral/unbiased and see when I am wrong about something. Furthermore, I am known in the community already.

Why should we accept your application over others?
Because people are likely more trustworthy/willing to ask for the help from somebody that is more known and trusted in the community over somebody that they barely know, in my experience. People can take more from somebody they know than from somebody they don't know.

Why do you wish to be a Helper on SurvivalState?
I have noticed a severe lack of (active) staff online around 10am to 3pm CEST. Except on tuesday and friday, I can be on at those times (if I'm awake) to help people out who need it. Also I get bored often and it is something to do.

Lastly, are you limited as to how many hours you are able to use your computer? If so, how many hours are you allowed to play every week?
nope.

Hey there! I'm sorry but I'm too busy with school right now. And because of school, I'm pretty much mentally dead so I can't apply as staff. I put it on 'on-hold' myself for now. But, I appreciate it :p
